I am planning on purchasing KYB AGX struts w/ prodrive springs from a bugeye wagon owner.

My car: 2005 wrx sedan.
Purchasing from: 2003 wrx wagon.

Given that it is a bugeye, I know I need to use spacers in the rear with my 04-05 tops, OR use his 02-03 tops. (confirm?)

The confusing part for me is, because the struts are originally for the wagon, I believe there will be some massive negative camber up in the front two struts (correct?). I need to fix the camber up in the front (right?). In order to do that I was wondering if you guys recommended camber bolts or plates? If either, which brands.

Plates would cost almost as much as the price of the struts... and seem to be more for track.

My car is used as a daily driver, with spirit at times . Also love going on canyon cruises and playing in the dirt/mud/rain. I've never tracked before though plan to in the future.

sidenote: why do wagon struts have more camber in the front?

It's around 1 to 2 degrees of negative clamber all around which you can offset with bolts, I daily drove with clamber plates in Oaklandvand it wasn't that bad.

It's different because of different suspension geometries

 

Hmm okay, yea I hear with the camber bolts you can adjust 1-3 degrees. Any shops or people with experience have anything to say about this matter?

Off topic, but for the record I ran KYB's on my old bugeye wagon and was not impressed. Tokico is better quality

 

The most I could get out of the bolts I have on my STI was -1.9.

Not sure about other brands out there, but 3 seems like a lot.
