lol, if it hit the roof, i'm pretty sure it'll hit that small wing on the sti

Ish happens, unfortunately. The only consolation is that you kept a cool head and the guy notified his insurance company in a timely manner - no jerking you around. Glad that surfboard didn't go through your windshield and do a Stevie Wonder job on you.

God, I wish it was. I've run over 2 surfboards in the last 5 years in Santa cruz after they dumped off the cars in front of me in traffic. I just felt bad about trashing the guy's boards, but I didn't take one up the scoop
.Hope you can get it fixed soon, sounds like it should work out OK.
