Suggestions for good roads please
Some friends of mine are thinking about taking our cars out for a drive in June/July. The problem is that we don't usually do these runs, so we don't know any good roads in the bay area.
Can anyone suggest a good route to take? We'll probably spend 3-4 hours on this drive. The cars going are a Porsche Boxter, WRX, 350Z, Lancer Evo, and an ITR.
TIA!

Mt Hamilton road up over the top down Mines road into livermore. It's a fun drive and will take about the amount of time you're looking for.

Highway 35 from 92 down to Highway 9, then take 9 all the way to Santa Cruz
Highway 25 out of Hollister south down thru the Pinnacles area and Diablo range (the BEST sports car road around here)
Mines Rd is great
Highway 1 from Olema up to Bodega Bay is cool.
Calaveras Rd from Sunol to Milpitas is cool.
Have fun

84 to kings mtn
cross 35 to tunitas creek road go right at the fork when you get there
make a left on highway 1
left on stage road
left on pescadero road
right on alpine road
cross 35 again and take page mill road back to 280
that is the ultimate sunday drive, and will take about 4 hours.

Seconding this!
I live here in the SC mountains, and these are as sweet as the local roads get.

<3 Alpine, I cant wait till the day that all of pagemill and alpine is smoothly paved. Lets get a group out for a drive through the Santa Cruz mountains sometime in the near future.
