I currently own 2 Cybershots. One in 3.2MP (old school), and one 5.1MP.

These cameras are a great value (the entry level ones, midsize). Lasts forever as well!

Sounds like you want a P&S (point and shoot) cam. Just don't get caught up in the "more megapixels equals better pictures" marketing scheme. All it means is that more mp = larger file sizes. Just look at some of the p&s cams and hold them, if possible. Most of the really small p&s cams don't use the same type of memory, but most of the memory is getting alot cheaper than it used to be. Try Canon's powershot series, Sony's cybershot series, Nikon's coolpix series, etc. Good luck.

i suggest 4MP for P&S. that'll allow you to develop normal-size pictures (4x6).

i lug my 20D around when i feel up to it; if not, i put my canon s410 in my pocket. it's such a small and reliable camera...takes great pics, has a long battery life, and is CHEAP to replace if lost!

I've owned both the Canon S40 and S60 cameras. I would highly recommend them, they've always gotten good reviews. The digital Elfs are good too if you're looking for something small.

Always been a Canon user. Canon SD200 or SD300 if you want more. Awesome thing, small and fun for gurls to play with. Haha.

I would actually recommend the Casio series cameras. They're ultra slim, have a huge LCD and have a lot of features. I've been using a Casio for over a year, it's been to dozens of parties, dropped, stepped on, and it works fine and still takes great pictures (and it looks like a warrior too). The great thing about them is that they come with a dock, so that you're camera is charged all the time as long as it's on the dock (where I leave mine). And you sync the pics onto your computer using the dock as well.

Check em out, you'll love how they look and how small they are with the huge screen in the back.

Here's the really thin on: http://www.casio.com/index.cfm?fusea...duct=EX%2DS100

and here's the one I have: http://www.casio.com/index.cfm?fusea...uct=EX%2DS500#

I have both a Nikon Coolpix 5000 (5 megapixels with the battery pack and external flash) and Canon S80 (8 megapixels). If you want a used camera I have the coolpix 5k, the battery pack and flash for $200 I do not use it any more so it is just collecting dust.

Cheers

Nick

They have the SD400 as well which looks the same as the 300 but with 1 more MP. A LOT of people have this camera as Dell usually sells these for cheap when they have specials. (under $300 for either)
