Don't forget that this is a Euro market car. Being that the Euro is stronger than the USD right now, the converted price from Euros to USD is high. If they were to bring over the WR1, I bet it wouldn't be $55k.

Not too impressed. The Spec-C will handle the MR just fine; let's just hope that SOA's smart enough to bring it Stateside.

I think those are australian dollars, they don't use dollars in europe or Japan, and Canadians have the driver sitting on the correct side of the car-

So 55G in oz, is only like 35-40G or so here

For 55k i'd pay cash for an Elise and put a decent downpayment on a truck.

Even if that was sold here for 55k, it wouldn't be unheard of. Sometimes people pay insane amounts of money on a limited production car purely because of its exclusivity. Take the Buick GNX versus the Buick Grand National. Basically the same car, the GNX being marginally faster, but the GNX cost nearly twice as much. Or the corvette ZR1. Not too much faster than a stock vette, but again... nearly twice as much. You get the idea. Some people are willing to spend a great deal of money on a car just to make sure they never park next to another one.
