struts? swift srpings + Tires
I was wondering what kind of struts I should run with my swifts(red). Im currently on my stuck struts.
Ive been looking at koni yellows and Agx Kyb/GR2 mainly cause I've always heard everyone talk about them on here. Whats the difference between them besides the adjustibility? What should my settings be for street vs track? What do you guys run? Im onna 07wrx mostly for DD, autocrossed once - gonna do more when i get time. All advice appreciated =D
Also I just found out my RE760s are at 1/32. The Primewell PZ900 at firestone is only $83 and I have a budget of $110 a tire - any suggestions? Thanks!

i'm running kyb agx with tein h-techs which i am happy with. if i had to do it again though, i would get the Tokico D-specs. best flexibility for the price / effort imo.

I've had AGX's then Dspecs, and have ridden on Koni's all on Swift springs (Red). Of these 3 for DD and occasional AutoX I'd pic . . .
1. Koni's = amazing ride, soaks up Calif. roads really well. Like a euro car.
2. Dspecs = great damper as well, valving just a tiny bit not as good as the Koni's
3. AGX = Simple strut, not bad at all, limited adjustment 4 settings, not as nice a damper as the above 2, but definitely a couple steps up from the stock WRX damper.
Hope this helps.

agx is old tech and is quite stiff even on the softest settings.. it was decent when they first came out but with the dspecs.. well..
gr2s are daily friendly and are nonadjustable and valved for that purpose.. you can autox and track with those.. hell you can even track a rental.. most important mod is the driver, just have to understand how to control the car to your specific intentions

I have the agx's and while they're a little bumpy/stiff, I don't have a problem with it at all. I live in downtown SF and drive over muni tracks routinely. Maybe I'm less sensitive to these types of things... Not saying they're any better than the other stuff mentioned because I've never tried them.
I too have been looking for a spring strut combo, can anyone recommend me anything?
I don't track the car, I just basically want it to have a nicer wheel gap + stock suspension feeling(nothing super hard and bumpy). Based on what people have said and what I have looked up online, what do you guys think of prodrive springs or cobb springs and koni yellows? I'm not looking to break my bank either guys.
Sorry for the thread jack lol

I've also heard good things about Swift springs.
I ran prodrive spring and KYB adujustables since 2002 or 2003 on my bugeye. No problem in terms of ride quality. Still runs nice and strong. Only thing I don't like is it's ****/holes that you use to adjust setting. They are made of plastic - which is too easy to round it up when turning with your tool.
I also have Tokico D-spec struts + springs on my Z. I like D-spec better because adjustble hole is made of metal. Stronger I think. More adjustable too.

Swifts are awesome. High quality metal and manufacturing with less coils giving you more travel.
D-specs are the best bang for buck and I highly recommended saving your coins until you can afford them. If you want to go cheap, get the GR2.
I've had AGX's on a previous car and I'd rather just save up for the D-specs. Or save $ and go with GR2s. The adjustment on AGX is so few that the settings are never able to match your spring.
Alternatively, if you never plan to go off pavement, then get koni inserts. You're going to have to do extra work to have them installed in stock struts. But the consensus is the valving on the Koni's are awesome.
