I have done some drafting practace back in the day, at about 100mph. Now this was on a track with pro drivers...and its un-nerving, it really is. You have to override your desire to hit the brakes all the time.

There are.... just not many. I met up with a couple of guys with WRXs when I was there a few years back.

The thing is cars are expensive as has been said (used BMW X5 = $100k+), and the income distribution in China is basically.... people make not that much money, and then BOOM millionaires (who would be buying Ferraris instead of modding cars)

Not that many people take out loans for cars in China, so you need to be making $80k+ at least (which is manager/director level for corporate salaries over there) to be saving up to buy an expensive performance car (while paying for your house or whatever), and then sustain the income to modify it.

But yeah, seriously, we really take for granted how cheap it is to own a car in America.

On the mainland you couldnt drive like that for long before hitting some other sh*tty driver/farmer on a bike/food seller pushing cart against traffic/etc.etc...
there's also a lot of cameras on the highways. but... those guys didn't have proper plates anyways...
