Just for smog. I'd like to do a "stage 4" setup w/ injectors, TMIC, and vf30. I've heard the IC isn't a CARB item, so I'd like to be able to just put the BOV, stock exhaust components and the heat shield back on, and get it smogged.

I've heard of stage 4 guys passing smog, so this should be possible, right?

 

the stock heatsheild will fit over a vf30 when using the stock downpipe. if you are running a bellmouth dp you will have to cut the heatshield to make it fit though.

 

I have a VF34 with ScoobySport bellmouth DP and have never had to trim the stock heatshield.

I have a VF34 with maddad catted DP and I had to hack the crap out of the heatshield where the wastegate pipe came out.

No.

No one has to smog their cars for atleast 4 years unless they get a ref ticket or they are transfering ownership
