stock exhaust question

My car is being sold but being the nice guy I am, Id like the new buyer to have a little more rumble (since he test drove the car with all the mods). Would taking the resonator off the cat make a considerable difference? Anyone ever done it?

Is it going to sound raspy or give it a deep tone similar to a cutout?

That might cost a little too much in piping. I was only planning on trying to weld out the resonator because its a pretty cheap route.
