i was just wondering if anyone here has installed a vf30 and used their stock boost control solenoid, i cant get more then 7ibs of boost. i was running a profec b but switch to the stock because i just got the utec. i hooked up the line with the brass fitting to the compressor inlet and the other line to the wastegate. then connect both lines to the T and that line goes to the bottom of the stock solenoid and hook up the line that goes to intake to the to top of the solenoid, and finally hook up the line that goes from the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold. so do you guys think my boost solenoid is broke?

 

from just reading that i am pretty sure you hooked it up wrong. You should one line from the wastegate and another from the inlet with the stock little metal piece in the side of the inlet. Those two hoses connect to that plastic t. Then from there it leads to the stock solonoid. In the middle of that line the hoses connect to a restrictor and you will see this because the hoses are two different colors. Pull off the restrictor and in place put the Y piece with one side going to the ABC and the other leading to the stock solonoid. Also look in the UTEC instructions for pictures and stuff.

 

from what you said that is the way it is hooked up, minus the abc, but when i hooked up the abc and open it up i can get boost, but without it is the problem.

 

turns out that the boost solenoid is broke.

 

Crap I am having the same exact problems... I guess mine is broken too. The next question is: where can I get a boost solenoid for cheap!

 

hey Kickz107 make sure that the restrictor is in the right place, and if you have a utec you can try clearing the solenoid by using the utec, just pm if you have questions on it
