I can't seem to find this anywhere. I found for older models it was around like ~16 pounds. Any idea of the 06's are lighter or heavier? I care more about my performance than how its going to look - ie I don't want to get heavier rims.

I thought the 06 WRX 17" wheel weighs in the 21-22 pound range, but the person in this thread actually weighed them at his dealership. He says they are 23 pounds. That's a really heavy 17!

I know, even the heaviest set of Rotas I have had on my car were lighter than 23 pounds, and those made my car feel completely sluggish!

seriously dood, it is not worth buying a $1,200 set of wheels. just get some Rotas and some Falken RT-615s. That will almost reach the $1200 you would spend on wheels alone, then you could use the rest of that money for other stuff like stainless steel brake lines.

I got a set of Rotas at 16.5 pounds each and are running rubber that weighs 19# each for a total corner weight of 35.5#.
That is saving 10 lbs per corner of 'unsprung weight!!! It was like finding 10+ horsepower... A quick formula racers use, is for every pound lost of rotating mass it's equal to 10lbs being shaved of the total weight of the car! Free horsepower is hard to find.

NW OBS, incase you didn't look at the thread I posted above, that was you that made that claim in there. Just FYI.
Umm, last I checked, our cars favoured high offsets in that wheel dimension.

well, if you have the option to choose the +48 offset rota, why choose it over the oem +53?? the +53 has a pretty bad sunken look and i doubt the 5mm of offset will affect the wheel bearings that people so often gripe about.
call me crazy if im basing this off the logic of wider (+5mm) is better for handling...

Oh, BTW, wheel offsets should change in relationship of the width of the wheel, anyways. Subaru's 6.5 inch wide rim have a 55+ for a reason. Just as if you bought some 9" wide rims, you'll probably be in the 38+ or so range, to "balance" it out.
