The FedEx came by this afternoon and delivered the black one. I put the other seats (JDM V6 STi, and 2007 USDM STi) in for comparison. Notice how low the Recaro SRD is? The V6 seat is already really low, but the SRD is much lower which is sooo much better, especially for someone like me. The USD seat is sooo awful compared to the V6 seat, and even worse compared to the SRD! The SRD is like having a seat spoon you from the rear! (Nothing more then spooning from the rear!!! Lets make that clear!
)
The SRD looks really small because it's so low, however the head rest is taller then the V6

I should leave the Recaro tag on the seat like the hip hop crowd does on their hats, lol

Comments? Questions?

One thing I forgot to mention! The Recaro SRD is VEEEERY light weight! Even lighter then the V6 seat which is already very light weight. The recaro and the STi seat combined probably weigh less then ONE USD STi seat. The USDM STi seats are just plain out HORRIBLE. High, too roomy with little to no support, and HEAVY AS HELL!.
Also, all seats appear to have very supportive bolstering, if you're going by looks alone, you're probably right... Once you sit in them its a whole different story. The USDM seat has bolsters, but they are just soft foam and not supported by anything, so you slide right through them when the flex. The JDM seat has much firmer bolsters that hold you in nicely. Then there is the recaro... The bolsters are SUPER supported under the foam so they don't move AT ALL, so once you sit in the seat you're stuck in your drivers position and you have to put little to no effort in staying in the correct position.
Like I've said before, the best mod you can do for your car is a race seat, reclining or bucket... They change everything about how the car handles (in a positive way). I recommend getting an aggressive/supportive seat before doing any suspension mods, it's like going from stock suspension to stiff coilovers. You can ask anyone with seats and they will agree.

Nice! I've been running Recaros for years now. Not only for the support but they dropped my *** 4+ inches in the car. It is awesome for us tall, lanky f**ers!
Not only lighter but i figure dropping my 230+ lb self several inches must do something for the car's center of gravity. :P

Wow that is crazy how much lower that actually puts you.
Those look really comfy, would you mind if I sat in them at BAM to check them out? I like my stock bugeye seats, but always planning out future mods.

i like your jdm v6s seats... so tempting... also i think the only reason the recaro are lower right now is that there is no rails on the bottom of it like there is on the v6 and v8 sti seats.

And that $825 was cost from the shop I got it from. The regular price will be more then $900. So yeah. $650 for Recaro Sport's wrapped in STi cloth and alacantera (sp? Its that fake suede looking stuff that sticks you to the seat)

Is the recaro gonna sit lower than the stock seat? If so is there any way to make it sit at a normal level? That seat looks freakin awesome.
