It just doesn't feel right that a Subaru could/should beat a Ferrari/Porsche.

"Well you know, Ferrari arent all about going fast. I mean you could of told him all about Ferraris racing heritage. Im sure he wouldnt of felt as good for beating you after that!"

It would appear that imprezas have no racing heritage

The way they're spending so much effort bashing the sti brings a tear to my eyes i'm so pleased that our modest little car gets them talking.

There was more praise than bashing

Ferrari fans tend to be F1 fans and would not likely watch WRC, so they may not know about the Impreza "heritage"
And besides, Impreza only has ten years of racing history while Ferrari has over 50 years of racing history and far more victories

all that heritage nonsense with the ferrari is bullcrap, he's looking for a way to feel good about having a car thats 3 + times more expensive than an STi that just tore him a new one...
