You didn't know...it's all F1 technology!
Just get telemetry transponders & receivers for your test mule EVO & STI, take them out to the track, do a bunch of hot laps, and have someone watch the laptops running the receivers.
You get everything, accel G's, lateral G's, yaw, pitch, roll, speed, etc.
If I were rich I'd put AYC on an STI....

I'm still waiting to see a quantitatively measured and confirmed way to modify a standard WRX to have the "telepathic" handling of the EVO.
It's really too bad handling is so subjective; skidpad/slalom numbers don't tell the whole story, and there are no "handling dynos" that measure weight transfer, grip transition, and feedback. Alas!

Yeah, it involves transversally mounting the engine...J/K!
In the end, I could never even own an EVO, simply because I couldn't take clients around in it (custom granite countertop fabrication biz).
When I drive clients around in the Rex, they are always pleased and impressed. If I drove a stiff-*** car more suitable for the track than the street, I would take crap for it.
Besides, I believe that the WRX & STI suit my driving style better, as I like to steer very deliberately, throw the car into turns, etc.
From the little I've heard about the EVO characteristics, I don't feel that it suits my style.
Plus, if I need the STI suspension to be stiffer, I could just throw some coilovers on it, as opposed to trading it in for an EVO...
Occasional off-roading is also a big priority to me, so that right there eliminates any and all EVO thoughts...

Whoa, definitely cool. Now, instead of me going out there and having all that expensive equipment tell me exactly how I spun off the track on the first turn, can we get a suspension manufacturer or tuner do it and release a package that at least unofficially dials in Evo-like balance?

Granite countertops? Cool, my parents just had that done at their place in Fremont a few months back in preparation to sell the house.

You'd be suprised.
My clients, especially the female onez, luv the REX, front or backseat!
They like-ah the exhaust that sound like a sportbike, the AWD handling (on stock susp/stock tires no less).
And they like-ah the boost. Definately like-ah the boost....
Yeah, I love the granite business.
People love a granite guy.
They call you because you're their hero!

Hmm, I'd figure the cramped back seat space in the Subie would be a bit harsh on passengers, but it sure is comfortable up front
