Sti or Legacy Gt??

Hey Guys, as some of you know I have been searching for a 04-05 STI for a while now...then today I get a good deal offer on a 2005 LGT Limited w/33K miles..for $17500...the catch its a automatic transmission, but it sure is tempting..

If done some research, I realize some engine components are from the STI....I do plan on modding the car..

My heart is going towards the Legacy GT, cause I will save money and still have a nice car...Call me crazy!!

Hmmm...I would go with an STi...Sorry, the automatic part ruins it for me. You'll have way more fun with the car if it was stick. Your call though.

Imprezas are plagued with ricers.

I'd hold out and look for a manual LGT. Although, you have to factor in the LGT has the WRX glass transmission, so any heavy modding will tip the scales to the STi. Just my two cents, if I was in the market for a car, I'd definitely be in favor of the LGT.

hey if you want a nice looking car with a great performance and less attention from the cops then go with the GT, but if you want a great performance and fun to drive car on the daily bases then go for the STi but you will get attention for the cops and that's just pain in the butt...if i was you i'll go with the LGT.

notice the peeps that are saying GT don't have Sti's... No offense, but STi, STi, STi.... I had a wrx and recently traded it for my STi and have never looked back. Spend the money and buy something that is not only ALREADY fast, but will also handle just about anything you can throw at it as far as mods are concerned. Plus, you don't have to "rice" it out... Mine's wingless and looks very conservative.

Just my .02

The Legacy GT 5EAT with a valve body upgrade can handle a ton of power, well over 300 whp.

Next time you come to the Eggettes meet. I recently did the stage 1 flash. Now I'm saving up for the downpipe.

An automatic sedan or a 6-speed rice rocket? This is an oddball comparison, they are vastly different - what do you want out of the car?
