STi **** problem! Can't go reverse!

So, I picked up a Kartboy 6-speed shift **** and tried installing it and ran into a MAJOR problem.

So I unscrewed my OEM **** on my 07 sti and after removing the ****, I couldn't pull the lever up (to go in reverse). And after putting in my Kartboy shift **** I still couldn't pull up the lever. Then I tried putting my OEM back and it's still stuck. I called up a few shops and asked their advice. I was wondering if anyone experienced this and how they fixed it.

You have to either go underneath the car and push the reverse linkage up or put like a string through it when you are in the car and pull up. Then put a pin through the hole in the lever and the collar on the shift boot that you lift up.

Didn't anyone tell you that when you remove the **** it converts the tranny to a race transmission? This is purely for cool points. Chicks dig it when you have to push the car out of a parking spot. It's tough and shows that you don't need no stinkin' reverse because you're a forward mover. Always.

Like NorCal said, it just sounds like the linkage came undone.
