I did about 20 miles in the STI today, it hadn't been started in 2 weeks, and was sitting with an empty tank.
Beautiful weather at about 6pm, went to Chevron and filled up @ $4.37...but only 56 dollars since I had just over a quarter tank...then took it for a little spin through the foothills.
I'm driving to Reno from here a week from Thursday, so it will probably sit until then. I miss driving out to the coast, @ $70/250 miles (or 2 spirited drives down the coast and back) it's lost its appeal a bit, which is kind of making me want to sell it.
Anybody else significantly cut back on driving with gas prices what they are?
/sad rant

Yeah I have had to put a serious curb on driving all together. I don't even dare start my 454 Suburban
It's really sad and it's just going to get a lot worse.

Apart from organizing a rally about 300 miles away, I'm not driving at all unless I really need to.
I have to figure- the only way the prices are going to turn around is for the demand to go down, so I'm riding my bike a lot more and doing stuff at home, but recreational drives are over until gas gets back where I can afford it.
which from the looks of things -might be never.

i've just been shifting at 3k and getting 200+ miles per half tank (~30$)

The only real times I drive the STI are on the weekends and the occasional Friday. Many people that I know aren't doing all that much on weekends anymore because of the gas prices...they're just staying home, playing xbox etc.
This freaking sucks. I'd hate it if I had to get rid of the Subaru...I will never not love that car. If it were paid off, I think it'd be easier to drive it more...maybe if I can just tough it out for another 2 years I'll get to have fun with it again...but by then I'll be 28 and gas will be 8 bucks a gallon

it's really hard to cut down driving when i just got my suby 3 weeks ago, and prices just continue to rise ... i'm cutting back on driving this week though. past 2 weeks have just been here and there so much.
i never recall driving this much with my 350z...

Already sold my STI. gas sux. I still drive the M3 on some weekend days, but driving the beater street miata (30mpg) a lot more these days since it chugs regular and at a much slower pace.

Hell I was stoked to see 100 octane is on sale fri-sun at $5.99. Saved me some money.
Just run higher octane like I do and 91 oct prices won't seem so bad anymore.
