I've done all of my own stereo work, which includes building a sub box and running all the wires for two amps. If you've got some questions, feel free to shoot 'em over.

Basically I am planning out my system.

I looks as of right now that I will be getting diamond audio speakers....s400s with the 6 inch addition to make a three way system. Question for that is....kick panels are too damn expensive so I was wondering if just sticking the 4's in the back doors, 6's in the front and tweats in the front would be ok. I'd rather do 6's in the door 4's and tweats in kick panels. Other questions with that are.where can where can I put the 4 cross overs? Anyone know where I can get kick panels for under $300 stinking dollars? If I build CF ones would anyone be interested?

I will be running a JL 300/4 to power them through an alpine 7998 in the dash. Where should I get the din pocket? SOA?

Lastly. Eventually I plan to get some low end. I'd like a single 10 but for space, convenience and cost I may get the kenwood woox....that thing any good?

Basically here is the temporary breakdown of the equipment I will have.

Alpine 7998
JL Audio 300/4
RF 1 farat digital cap
Diamond Audio s400s w/ 6inch addition.

I got some good advice from the guy that is selling me the DA stuff but I'd like some local help putting it together.

Second run of parts will likely be a Mattjk screen. PS2. Sub.

I'd get the single DIN compartment from a Subaru dealership either online or otherwise. Apparently the Forrester one is silverish which matches the interior of the WRX better IIRC. The setup sounds great. You've just got to think about wiring and where you're going to mount the amp. The passive crossovers usually fit somewhere in the door panel. I know that's where mine are mounted.

yeah but if I do go the diamond route....there are 4 cross overs.

charlie...lost your cell phone number. I want to run a couple things by you about this stereo idea and some parts for my car...warranty related there....I'll call SC tomorrow cause I may have to schedule a oil change any how.

Thanks so far guys....I am one of those over research over analyze types...I like to do it right even if it takes a little longer.

totally understandable. measure twice, cut once....always do your homework and make sure.

i have 4 diamond x-overs myself, all mounted in the trunk to the back of the rear seat. i don't like the idea of those x-overs getting wet b/t the door panel and door skin.
