steering wheel vibrates

got my tires and alignment two months ago. when i did an oil change last week, i heard a pop when jacking up the car. looked around and everything seemed ok. but now the steering wheel vibrates at about 70mph but its on and off when im driving on the freeway. anyone might know what's wrong and also what shops to recommend me to? seems unsafe for me to be driving the car when it is like this...

Get your wheels balanced.

may be a good idea to have the steering rack bushings checked out.

Does it happen when you press on brake? If so, it may be the old front rotors.

at 65+ its probably a wheel balance, if its more during braking, its front rotors...popping noise may be a sway bar/endlink problem, as i had that often

Just to acknowledge the popping sound: I don't think this is related to the cause. If something slipped (like crossmember or something bolted to subframe) then you would probably feel some sort of slop at speeds under 70, especially when turning.

how many miles did you put on since the new tires? did you rotate them?

I'd say balance too, although a bent rim is another possible source for such a problem, but since it only happens at ahem, illegal speeds- go to a tire shop for a rotation ( should do this with oil changes anyway) and balance.

i put about 6k on them and i only feel my steering wheel vibrate on the freeway. i will rebalance them and see if it improves. just weird bc it only occurred after i rotated my tires. that pop sound wasnt too comforting either.
