but..but..LEO are our friends and just doing their "job". We should just turn a blind eye to the corruption, right? I mean after all they have to "go home safe", not uphold their oaths..amiright? /sarcasm

Good make every cop carry video cameras, problem solved. This ****er should be doing time for being so trigger happy and the victim should get compensated.

As for the rest of cop hating comments, lol.

Where is is the blind eye? Horrible judgement, but he is not getting any preferential treatments. He was fired, arrested, charged and faces 20 years in prison (the victim luckily only suffered an injury to his hip and recovering after a stay in the hospital). Corruption would mean nothing was done and he would still be walking the streets. He did a st00pid thing and won a st00ping prize.

ALL, let me stress that again, ALL LEO are corrupt. The only good ones have left being LEO because of the corruption. Current LEO are taught "do whatever it takes to go home safe at night" not "lay down your life if you must to keep a citizen safe"

We hold our solders to a MUCH higher standard than we do our LEO. That should tell you something.

There are a handful of good cops out there. We all know one, or know somebody who does. Generalizing comments like that distract from the real, institutionalized, issues that allow for these ****tards to become LEOs in the first place.
Believe me, I get where you're coming from... it's just easy to discredit an argument that uses language like "all".

Are you actually looking for a serious reply? Or you just being your typical self and want everyone to listen and consider your wisdom...while you completely disregard everyone's (at the same time as you rant about maturity and intelligence)?

Sean Groubert, South Carolina State Trooper, Fired & Arrested After Shooting Unarmed Man

South Carolina Department of Public Safety Director Leroy Smith called the case disturbing.

"After my review of the facts surrounding this matter, I have determined that Mr. Groubert’s actions rose to such an extent that his employment with us must be terminated," Smith said in a statement last week. "While Mr. Groubert was within the law to stop Mr. Jones for a safety belt violation, the force administered in this case was unwarranted, inconsistent with how our troopers are trained, and clearly in violation of Department policies."

Wow...

Once that guy drives on private property he doesn't have to have a belt on anymore. I mean the video shows that this trooper nearly pulled out of the gas station, and decided to back up and then address the man.

I mean you can see clearly the guy is OUT OF HIS CAR when the cop puts the car in park. So that reason right there is BULL****.

Cop totally overreacted. Not just fired, should be in jail. Big fat lawsuit there.

The reality is, I think he made a mistake - he probably drew with his finger on the trigger and unintentionally pulled it. He scared himself and fired the second shot too, then just kept going thanks to adrenaline. He also didn't take time to fully assess or control the situation. The first thing he should have said was "REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE" (or get back in since dude was already out).
