It brought it up if one insists on a cold air. Best policy really is just not to though.

When the valve opens, your intake length cuts by 2/3rds or more, doing weird and unsound things to your AFRs and other variables. Probably not as bad as water in your engine, but why chance it.

Again, stock intake on a GD is plenty good to about twice stock HP. I'm sure the GR intakes are as good or better.

What's more, untuned mods at best won't net the max gain a tune will draw out of them, and actually decrese power/reliability at worst (and often do).

Just throw a bigger rear sway bar on, you'll like it, and go step by step from there. Keeps that "feels like a new car" feeling fresh each time.

If OP has a hole burning in his wallet and wants the magic 2 HP gain of modified intake.. There's always a drop-in K&N or Perrin.

From what I've seen various tuners saying is that 02-07 models dont see much difference with an aftermarket intake, but the newer models do benefit from them.
