question: Is it possible to split the block and replace a spun bearing without removing the pistons?
quick story: I was about 800 miles into my hybrid break in. The oil pick up tube came lose and lack of oil lead to a spun bearing. Turned the car off and parked it as soon as it went bad. Soo is it possible to replace the bearings (and maybe crank) without removing the pistons and having to break the motor in again? thanks

Yep- anything less and you will likely be going through the whole thing again in another few hundred miles
interesting spelling you came up with there Paul...
Shrapnel is named after Major-General Henry Shrapnel (1761–1842), an English artillery officer, whose experiments, initially conducted in his own time and at his own expense, culminated in the design and development of a new type of artillery shell.
