OOOOOK....so the first question is how big are you?!?!?! I did that swap with Aegon (tom) today. and with our combined weight pushing down on the front suspension we could not get it through to bolt on that darn tophat.

We tried Kragen, but they had no spring compressors in any of their stores...none nada nuthin...so...with a bit of MacGyver-ism we used one of those ratcheting tie-downs like the ones you see on trucks to hold down whatever it is they have on the truck bed. Only we used the shortest one we could find. Hooked one end where the bolt is supposed to go and the other that holds the brake line clip. Then had the belt go over the spring...a few clicks of the ratchet..VOILA! ghetto-*** spring compressor. It really works. Ghetto yet very effective...
