I never refer to my car as an STi, I always tell people I have a WRX. I de-badged it besides the two front panel STi emblems which the old owner put on to replace the stock reflectors. And it's not equal to STi power. 280whp > stock STi. It's got more powa

similar to me. I tell people that the STi Forester didn't come to the US, but the XT Touring comes with the STi gauge cluster, STi foot pedals, STi rear wing, and the car is a combination of WRX and STi stuff (motor parts, suspension, etc)

I'm pushing 330 HP and 370something torque @21 psi with all my upgrades.

No I'm the one who calls his wrx an sti and it's all stock LOL.

Not anymore but I did when I first bought it cause I i didn't know a thing Bout it.

Smh..........

Still got the door badges but they are almost invisible. I like the red badges and figured I could put them on to rep subaru in general but never call it an sti.

It is like putting GNX (grand national for those who dont know what GNX means) badges on a regal. IMO it is worse than a Toyota owner slapping TRD stickers all over their car cause at least TRD isnt a specific model. If a person wanted their WRX to be an STi maybe should have bought. Again Just my .02 cents.
Just saw this. But not what i was saying.

I still keep the door badges on just because they make the car look not so plain and they say subaru technica international. Not even the same one on the stis.
If you tell people its a wrx and not an sti then whats with all the hate? I dont have a trunk or grill emblum. But what if someone bought a grill and trunk lid from an sti and didnt want to shave the beautiful badges off......
Does that make them a poser even when they acknowledge its a wrx?
Im one step closer to sti than the 2.0 guys anyways. 2.5l with 565cc injectors stock Aluminum control arms and the 4/2 pots stock. Some people have to turbo swap their bugeyes to equate to the displacement advantage.

And jeff. U know u want a jdm 03 sti with a twinscroll

But i dont claim to have one. I love my 4eat wrx and wouldnt trade for an sti.

Not really rice but i saw an old 3 series beamer with ebay purple 12k hids.

You could tell because they were so purple it made the light pattern purple on top of there being no shimmer/color flicker.

Horrible horrible.

Then i saw another purple light on a R1 25 mins later but it turned blue like a G when he hit a bump lol.

Real deal vs real lame

...snipped...
He's a hyper-miler in that PZEV beast....he gives it throttle for a quarter mile, then coasts , then another quarter...lather, rinse, repeat.

Talking Maybe a SLEEPER

Maybe the car is a sleeper since Subaru engine/parts are
largely interchangeable...

There are more than a few wrecked 2015 WRX w/perfectly good engines
but have a mess up frame ... so It could happen ...

but chances are with those tires/offset ... probably not.

Stock sounding, stock height, stock rims/tires, so I doubt it was a sleeper
