There are at least two or three organizations that award such honors

http://www.bonneville200mph.org/

The one I'm talking about is the bonneville one. Class record setters and 200mph. RED patches. Buddy of mine has a couple.

i'm currently building a caddy. After that is the truck. After that will either be my bike or my bonneville car. I figure if my stock motor in my caddy will hit 115-120mph it should be good for at least 140 in a bucket. Work over the motor, gearing...should get me a good 175mph. After that it's about chassis/aerodynamics and raw power so I might need a new mill for 200mph. 10 years would be a good time frame for that one..haaa
