Somewhat sad story

Shoot this guys 2 dogs, all over a grinder and a tiny bit of weed. I've smoked more weed than the guy had in 1 joint before. Seems pretty lame they have to shoot peoples dogs all the time.
I find it hard to believe swat team members are that afraid of a dog when they are all dressed up......I think it's more they get to shoot something sadly..............because if a swat member is that afraid of a dog he probably shouldn't be handling fire arms for the public service.
Pretty lame. I love dogs.
I'd recommend not watching the video.

that sucked for the guy, but put yourself in their shoes I would have done the same thing. you dont have time to figure out if the dogs is friendly you see and hear a barking dog.

From what I've heard, when serving a warrent and especially no knock warrents they find intel on whether the person of interest is a dog owner and also the have to request to shoot the dog.

this though??? I guess the police love their bbq.
In 2004 one of Arpaio’s SWAT teams conducted a bumbling raid in a Phoenix suburb. Among other weapons, it used tear gas and an armored personnel carrier that later rolled down the street and smashed into a car. The operation ended with the targeted home in flames and exactly one suspect in custody–for outstanding traffic violations.
But for all that, the image that sticks in your head, as described by John Dougherty in the alternative weekly Phoenix New Times, is that of a puppy trying to escape the fire and a SWAT officer chasing him back into the burning building with puffs from a fire extinguisher. The dog burned to death.

It is very unfortunate that the dog was shot and killed, I am a dog owner and love all animals. At the same time put yourself in the officers shoes. A person who deals with narcotics probably doesnt have a lap dog and it is trained to protect, meaning bitting and such. In this day and age, police officers are on the defence more than ever just because there are some crazy people out there.

The website wasn't loading for me btw but through the cache I found the link.
Supposedly the warrant was based on possible drug trafficking allegations from an anonymous tip. What was found was enough weed for a Misdemeanor and no scales or rolls of 20's to corroborate with the so called tip. The two dogs were a Pit and a Corgi, the Pitbull which was in a cage was shot 3 times and killed. The Corgi was shot once and injured but survived.
At :50 you hear the first shot (Corgie)
At 1:05 you hear 3 rounds (Pit)
At 1:39 "We got another injured one" (Corgie)
At 2:13 you see the ravenous Corgie run from one door to another by the suspect. 2 seconds later you hear an officer referring to the dog say "He's coming at ya" followed shortly by another officer saying "Leave the dog alone we're good."
The parents of the children were charged with child endangerment.
At 1:19 the Mom and children emerge while being yelled at to "MOVE", you can clearly hear the mom saying "It's OK" repeatedly while trying to calm her children.
At 1:22 you hear an officer who is not jacked up on adrenaline realize they are children and say, "Come on guys are fine" in a less aggressive tone.
The man later plead down to some paraphernalia charges and paid a fine.
Icing on the cake @ 3:27 "Someone got a card???" because his dumbass forgot how to recite the man's Miranda Rights

Despite scheduling, marijuana is not a narcotic (http://www.justice.gov/dea/pubs/scheduling.html). These swat guys came in acting as if they were about to bust some sort of drug operation and what did they find: a family and a personal amount of pot. bravo

I remember hearing about that MS13 gang member who got raided in Richmond a while back, they shot both his pitbulls.
Hmmm Notorious gang member vs low level pot smoker with his wife and kid. I'm sure the MS13 guy's pitbulls were guard dogs and were vicious vs this guy's dogs were his personal dog that he loved. This vid and the story about the burned dog are complete BS How could you do such a cruel thing?
