Other than that its just wheels, interior, exterior, and just a catback to hear the subaru rumble
for the rumble she'll need uel headers and an 05 cat pipe or track pipe, reroute o2 sensor (a lot of work)

The stock Imprezas have about 6.1 inches of ground clearance. Maybe 2 or 3 inches would help when you're out adventuring the outdoors. Also, if you really love going off-road, some more aggressive tires might do.

For lift-kit options, I would consult the help of Dirty Impreza.
If you want to go that route, I'd consider just installing stock Forester suspension -- you'll get more travel and not just height. And, it's OEM. People on subaruforester.com will probably trade suspensions with you straight up.

Yeah, that.

Forgot how the Impreza and Forester practically have the same unibody (sort of).

Do the Forester suspension swap so that you can enjoy off-pavement excursions better.

Bluwrxwagon and choku are right on. Drive the car for a while. Go to some meets. Do research. Too many people just start buying stuff right away and end up wrecking cars or just blowing them up. These cars get a bad wrap because of that.

My advice... figure out what you want. Do you want a clean looking canyon runner that is still high enough for the snow and gravel, a lifted off road smashed or a slammed herra flush show car.

I went the first routeand 185k later I still love my car.

I do go on A LOT of drive and cruises. Up skyline, 9, 17 that kinda thing.
If you want to keep it, "so fresh and so clean" I would begin by purchasing only genuine STi parts if I had the money!

Then I would decide whether I'm doing to drive on track/road/off-road to determine what tires/wheels/suspension/body-kit to purchase!

Do you want to get bigger fuel injectors, bigger turbo, bigger inter-cooler, tuned, 3" exhaust?

Do you have the money for a STi 2.5L engine block and transmission?

You just need to piece it together in an some-what elegant/practical manner
Personally, I took a 2003 "Bug-Eye" WRX and added the following:

Swift Lowering Springs
Cusco Strut Tower Bar
Slotted Rotors
Hawk Brake Pads
Stainless steel Brake Line
SPT Ram Air Intake
SPT Cat-back Exhaust
Perrin IC Hoses
Hella Supertones
STi Fog Light Covers
Prodrive-Hella Projection Lights
Prodrive-Hella Spoiler
Prodrive Oil Cap
Carbon Fiber Arm Rest
STi Carbon Fiber Side Markers
STi Hood Scoop
STi Side Skirt
STi Up-pipe (eventually )
STi Floor Mats
STi "Duracon" 5MT Shift ****
Pink "I" Badge

a lift kit will buy you clearance on body but not the diff's unless you stick some meaty tires on there.

I say start with suspension, then wheels, sway bars, then start adding some exterior mods. I wouldn't bother too much with engine work, maybe a muffler or something to give it a kick of noise. Plus that part is cheap.

You will get about a 13mm sticking out from the edge. It will line up straight with the end of your bumper no cutting or trimming needed, you would just need to put more screws on the lop.
