very cool project and a good way to go about seeking volunteers/subjects! do you have any picturesque backdrops/backgrounds in mind for this photo shoot? also, if you don't me asking, what kind of equipment will you be using during this photo shoot?

Alright, I honestly wasnt expecting this many responses, but I thank you all, this should be fun! Looks like we will have around 15-20 cars. Most of you have said Sundays work well, so how about next Sunday the 15th? Again, I will need help in selecting locations, so please post up some ideas. Like I said before, Im willing to drive so that hopefully we can keep the location close to the majority of u. Thanks again guys.

If you have trouble finding the film I can get it for you.
Adolph Gasser's in SF has TONS of great film and they can custom order film for you as well.
Soon as I get a tripod I'm picking up some 25 speed film and doing a rain shoot on my car.

Gasser's is expensive as hell tho, I usually go to Calumet, but thats way out on Bryant. I go to the Academy of Art U. in SF, so we get discounts at Calumet, which is nice.
I would love to see how your rain shoot goes, thats a very interesting idea!

Velvia will give nice saturated colors for the pics...good choice! I suggest you use a circular polarizer as well. The polarizer will really make the paint "pop". I'm sure you already know this but make sure and bracket your shots like crazy as the reflections of the cars' paint can throw off the meter.
Good luck!
