So when I lemon our Armada, should I B9 Tribeca?

Stupid Armada is in to have the power steering rack replaced for the SECOND time. Technically I have a lemon law case as the limit is two or more repairs on a major safety system (brakes, etc).

So I'm trying to decide what I would get if I suddenly get a check from Nissan USA for just under $40k.

It's gotta be for the wife, and hold a lot of cargo, so none of you JDMboyz suggest that I import a skyline. lol

Any clues as to how much that Tribeca would cost?

Go with the B9, keep it in the family.

Think of it like this - your uncle may be butt-ugly, but you love him anyways.

Nope.

The law says that it's a "reasonable number of repair attempts made". Precedent has set that at >=4 for non vital things, and >=2 for safety related items.

There is also a part that lemons a car if it's out of service for 30 total days in the first 18 months.

One thing that hippy Californian lawmakers did well.

so you're saying the cayanne is an ugly pos?

get a toyota and you'll have 0 problems with it. my wife and i love our 4 runner, it's pretty quick for a v6 suv. this is my 2nd toyota actually, i had a tacoma that needed absolutely nothing beyond oil changes for the 4 years i had it.

you should be able to get a v8 4x4 sequoia for 40k or less pretty easily.

The sequioa is a piece of ****. It's made like a cadillac inside (squooshy door panels, horrible seats), and costs a ****load more. Plus it's a boring *** toyota.

well is your wife a good driver? if not, I suggest a Hyundai Santa Fe or whatever it is. my uncle has one for his work, and everytime I drive it, I drive that thing HARD, and it still works, plus it's cheap.

i thought the sequoia was also revamped for '05? we never really looked too closely at those, too big for us.

what about the nissan murano? i know i'm gonna get shot, but i think they're kinda cool looking for an suv or crossover or whatever the heck they're considered.

anyway, good luck on the lemon thing. i thought about it with my rsx, but decided to just stick it out till it got fixed and sell it eventually. 3 factory reflashes and 2 ecu's later i had no check engine light problems...

Actually it might be different for 05, but on principle I don't really like Toyota's

The Murano is very small inside. Probably no bigger than the WRX Wagon we came from. I like the looks of the Infiniti FX version, but the Murano is a no-go because of the CVT tranny that is the only option.
