so ive been non-filtered for the past several months..
cap came off of the APS 65mm intake. prob from the race rubber rubbing so much on it on all those left hand turns.. man whats even worse is the intake is naked right above the ground welcoming fellow pebbles, sand, dirt, water, bugs, who knows. man my maf/intake was so freakin dirty. poor turbo
no wonder my car hasnt been feeling the way it was right after the tune several months back. not so much of a difference but felt very hesitant at times at wot. and i guess thats where my old 4k boucing rev limiter rain issue came from. hmph
im hoping to do a new intake setup this week along with another tune =( $
just thought i'd randomly post my new issue since i uploaded the pic anyways..

man... sucks.
Yet another PITA thing about modded cars. There's like a 3-5 month period after spending $$$$ on your car and getting the setup tuned, that everything runs perfectly.
Then one of the 100 less-than-OEM-compliance mods on your car is bound to start acting up.

dunno if that'll help but that's the first thing I thought of too. Maybe take off the whole intake down to the manifold and give it a good check? You don't want to tune the thing only to have a semi-stuck pebble loosen itself immediately afterwards.
hah! no typos first try AND I'm doo doo

yeah it would be nice to hand wipe my whole intake system, but anything after the turbo imo would be kind of unnecessary again imo. i might have exaggerated on the thought of actual larger debris, also as for this is not my daily driver (whew) haha.
im getting rid of the cold air intake, and relocating the maf to the hot side fmic piping. with this particular fmic, not many intakes fit ie especially short rams, hence the reason i will do the blow-through setup and attach a universal or some type of filter that will fit onto my inlet hose without the fmic piping interfering.
i guess that means i can run my blow off valve open so my car can sound cool like other people without it affecting hesitation during shifts lol
