Oh yeah, if they didnt cover the work, I would have done an engine/tranny swap right away... However, I can't justify spending 11-13k on my car, since its' more than the value of the car... And the resale value would be crap. I figure if I sell my car for about 10k, put down another 10k of saved up dough, it'll be quite a downpayment on an STi or Forester.

 

I would say that is reasonable.
If you do not want to mod go for the STi and you are all set.
