Yeah, and ONLY skylines... because they crash tested them, etc... So, no... its not do-able unless someone goes all crazy with the forester with crash tests, emissions, etc.

Motorex is no longer in business btw.

What makes this...

So, what makes this thing so special?

Is it the Brembos, which can be had off STi's from the For Sale Forum?

Is it the BBS wheels?

Is it the paint job? We can get one sprayed at a local custom paint shop.

Is it the steering wheel and gauges? Can be had in the For Sale forums.

Is it the six speed with DCCD? I'm sure there are a few shops around here willing to swap one in for you.

Why bother with grey market, when you can build your own?

Yeah, I agree... Nothing is special about it, but it'd be nice if Subaru offered one here for sale for the same price as the STi.

That all that stuff would bring the cost more than an STi.
It will have no warranty whatsoever.
Possible problems with emmisions.
Time down and effort.
Some people may not like the idea get a new FXT and rip it into pieces to make it an STi Forester.
Finally a "grey import" was put together by Subaru and it will have the reliability of a new vehicle.

I thought he said he does not want to modify? That would be a Frankenstein of a modified car. He can do the same on his present car and have a GC STi. It will be cheaper.

In my mind get the 05 STi and call it the day. It comes with everything above and more from the factory and guess what. Assembly is not required

Cheers

Nick

Now your talking, that would be cool USDM STI conversion into a RS would be my favorite option although it is a fair amount of work but nothing that Master Jedi Adam could not sort out up at LIC.

Yes, thats the final piece... and yes, the parrot goes well with my third leg.

Subaru called me, and they are covering the work. New motor.
