oh for sure

i actrually meant to post up about a hour ago how OT it got. reminds me of the good ol days....

and to keep the crap rolling..

i hate banks. they wont give me a car loan (??!!??). i guess owning a house in this economy is officially a issue. i am sort of dumbfounded, but i guess it is a sigh of the times.

i guess i am relegated to a personal loan (which i bet they wont give me that either) or a dealer who needs to move something. so my budget might have just gone up.....

yeah. it appears you need to have almost NOT debt to get a loan. i mean, here is what i know

i have great credit
i own a quite expensive house on a few acres in truckee (i have been buying and selling houses since i was 21, this is my 4th house i have owned)
in the past year i have paid off close to 50k in credit etc.

i shold have kept the cash and never pay off anything....

Yeah 'tis CRAZY. I even got rejected when I was poking around with pre-approval because I had a large amount of debt from going to a private university.

it's like... dude, that's a 10 year loan with a $100/month payment and like 1% interest. At that interest rate I basically have no incentive to repay it ahead of schedule (but I do now, apparently to get a loan)

Yeah it depends on whether the rear crash beam is intact, but that big piece of metal isn't likely to be damaged in a parking lot collision like he described.

Rear bumper is about 160 shipped from an online Subaru parts source. Add 400-450 for painting and $600 sounds about right. I got mine painted for $330 at el cheapo Maaco

exactly verc. that is nuts. student loans???

i started to get nervous when getting pre-approved. it is NOTHING like it used to be. last year i was pre-approved by my crappy bank for $50k auto loan!!!! i would NEVER use that kinda money for a car loan, but wtf....

and you are exactly right. pay off as much as you can now. i am making double payment on my mort to start showing even more debt paid down.

how are we suppose to stimulate the economy if they put such huge restrictions on dinky loans.........

josh

PS and verc, as much as my house cost, it is very reasonable compared to the foreclosure stuff you see on TV, etc. its not like i quit paying or have ever been late. secured loans are exactly that, secure. so why the big deal now?? i am having a hard time believeing anyone is getting loans with the current requirements....
