Sorry for my lack of reading but did you get confirmation that you're motor is toast or is this still worst case scenerio?

Right on thanks for the pic. Not something you can easily check for damage.

We've personally seen 4-5 failed OEM pickups.

Kinda going by what the bosses have said so far..

Actually I made a statement about me pertaining to what he said... supporting said statement. It happens about 2 million times a day on forums across the net. I'm just curious why he chose to point it out.

Besides... no one posts here unless they're talking directly to me. Sheesh. It's called i-club for a reason... i being me.

Can only speak for ourselves, as we have never seen a broken one as of yet at our shop. Pretty sure its not a pandemic as lots like to believe or make it out to be. Even if you add up the individuals on other forums; its still a small amount of folks (most likely due to a bad production run and/or keep in mind that weld can become damaged at time of a rebuild, install error, damage to oil pan, etc...)

Up until a year or so ago, we ran OEM in our race car and only reason we changed it was for a higher capacity oil pan (which forces you to change the pick up as its a longer/deeper pan).

We keep aftermarket ones in stock "in case" someone wants one: Moroso Upgraded Oil Pickup (02+ WRX/STi) Subaru 24965 | Buy Online from LIC Motorsports
