So i just swapped trunklids...

So i just swaped trunks with an STi and it looks sweet. But we had one problem. We couldnt get the springs back on when we swaped them. Does anyone out there have pictures or explain how to put them back? It seems pretty simple. Put one end there and the other there and whala! but they didnt seem to stay on or create much tension. So pics would be great!

It's actually pretty easy...if you were closer I'd help you. Basically you seat one side, then use a big screwdriver to twist and create the tension in the springs, and then you set it in the movable bracket on the other side. It's weird to explain without pictures, but you can flip down the bracket (flush with the trunk arm), twist the spring past that point, and open the bracket to "catch" the spring as it tries to unwind.

If you can't figure it out I can take some pics when I get home tomorrow.

Good luck.
