So I got my car back from the bodyshop a few days ago... wax/polish question
I had a run in with a pipe and it dented my rear passenger door and took out some paint. I had it fixed at a shop and they "blended" half the front door and the rear quarter panel. Anyways, when I picked it up I noticed they had waxed that area. Aren't you supposed to let the paint cure for a few weeks before waxing it? I asked the manager and he says that it is ok to wax immediately. thoughts?

usually after the paint is done they do a wet sand, one more shot of clear, then a polish and a glaze..maybe what they did was the polish and glaze..but i wouldnt recomend waxing at lease for the first 6 months when the paint is new.

it depends on what they did after they painted the car. i don't remeber what they do or can do, but one of the ways u can wax and do whatever right after, and the other way u can't and have to wait a few weeks before doing anything
