I underestimated how wide my 2013 WRX is and clipped a FedEx truck I was trying to drive around. My mirror shattered into a thousand pieces and since I had my window half way down they went all over my interior and left a bunch of chips in my passenger window (Really hard to see in the picture though).

I already ordered new glass and a new cover for the mirror but I'll need to get it painted. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get something that small painted to match Satin White Pearl? Can anyone recommend a good paint shop?

SWP is a three stage paint, but I'd just see if someone was selling their mirror covers first, would probably be cheaper than getting a single cover colour matched.

That's what I was afraid of :/ I knew swp would be an expensive color.

Check to see if they sell prepainted covers like they do a lot of other parts. Won't be a 100% match, but it is just a mirror and then you can slap a Huck Gee on there and it will look all bad *** again. Or go black on the mirrors.

JDM Folding mirrors LOL.

I asked the guy at the parts counter at Capitol Subaru if they had any pre-painted ones but he said they only come primered now.

Ugh. maybe I should just buy these and call it a day, lol...

The valet dude under-estimated my car and accidentally hit my mirror also.. I was kinda pissed but its not major.. Go with the carbon fiber ones because with our cars (at least our coats.. I have DGM) it involves multiple layers as well as the whole problem with even rerouting the wiring.. Good luck with what you choose I personally like the carbon fiber and would do it in a heart beat if I destroyed my mirrors.

If it makes you feel any better, I underestimated when I was a n00b *** driver as I was entering a parking structure, and had clipped my driver side mirror with the ticket machine by getting a little too close for comfort LOL. No crack, only a little scuff. All repaired in time.

I went 5 years of driving and I hit TWO things in one day. Luckily I was in the work van so I didn't care.

First I ran into a uhaul truck, trying to squeeze through our parking lot.

THEN I ****in tapped some mini van pulling into a parking spot. Luckily there was no damage on the car, so I just pretended like nothing happened.

I have non heated glass and silver mirror caps I need to get rid of. Both sides, too bad you said you already got a replacement. I use RJ's paint in Pleasanton, he's painted my jdm lip, jdm hood scoop, and Ill be using him to paint my 08+ sti mirror caps, 06-08 fxt side skirts, and jdm rear underspoilers hopefully soon, all aspen white.

Bad thing about carbon mirror covers is they won't be there for long.
