Snowing in Sierra already tonight?
yo
not much in the way of snow sticking. upper peaks have some dust, but that will be gone before the weeks over.
everyone is making snow(or trying). what was odd about this storm was how we just got a bunch of squals. it would puke for 10 min, then be sunny.
i have a squaw pass, and will be riding much this year. if anyone is desperate for cheap (read: beer/wine/food), we have quite a bit of room @ the "compound". parent have 4b 4b, we got a 3b 3b place next door (small vommunity 15 min from Old Truckee). Keep in mind we are full time resies, but i am happy to extend a cheep floor if y'all are in need.
when the caravans start-up, would love to meet up and "apres ski", if you know what i mean.

I love homewood!!!
Awesome mountain and as mentioned above... the views are second to none I say.
Only downside to homewood are the lifts... feels like they got a team of gerbils powering it
Planning on getting my season pass @ Alpine/Homewood this season... so sick of the crowds @ N*

And your house has no water in the winter!

Are you in school? If you're taking at least 9 units a bunch of places offer discounted student season passes... I got my SB one for about $300.

Unfortunately my parents actually live in my house and I doubt they're as cool as Josh and would be OK with a bunch of random i-clubbers kickin it on the floor

reno runs suck right now. walmart runs have to be timed....
i live in truckee johnny. glenshire really. i just tell everyone i live in lake tahoe....
04caliwrx,
they exist. just not that many. and the cost of living is no better here than the Bay. the Ritz is hiring over 300 people, many full time. A job you could commute or tele-commute is ideal. i have many friends who split time elsewhere.
IT jobs are up here, but you are a SLAVE to earn good money. i run a podunk network in a dirt bike shop, and make very little for it in comparison to, say, the rest of the Bay Area. BUT, i make a ton of sacrafices, and have spent the last 16 years getting to the point where i can make good money up here.
and trade traffic, etc for this? again? not sure i could do it. i think i would move to another state, in the mountains, that no one has discovered yet (read:sunset magazine).
anyway, do we have enough to have our own region on i-club. Tahoe/Reno Area? then we could have TRAIM's!!!!!
we should all meet for a beer/wine/soft drink some time....
