Smog Check question for those with Accessport
Sorry for yet another smog check question. I searched the ones out there but couldn't find what I was looking for.
Anyways, I have a Stage II (Accessport) '04 STi with with TXS turboback with hiflow cat. I'm up for my first smog check and I was wondering if I need to reflash to the stock program or whether I'll pass with the Stage II 91 octane program. I'm not worried about passing visual
Anyone with first hand experience? Appreciate all the help!

Keep it at stage 2. It doesn't bring up any problems on the ecu scan, and it runs cleaner given the exhaust set up. If you've already been foolin' with the maps make sure to rack up some miles before you test so the readiness monitors are... ready.

That's what I figured...I just wanted some reassurance before I went in. I haven't changed the base map for probably 10,000 miles or more so it shouldn't be an issue. Appreciate the reply.
I have a 2004 STi with a Cobb tbe and Stage 2 programming. The first tech I talked to said that all monitors had to be ready,so I put the car back to stock and went to another shop. The second tech said that 2 monitors could read not ready,so I could have passed if my tbe ran clean enough (it looks like a stock item with 2 cats). So I would like to know if your setup (tbe and AP programming) passes the sniffer test. Would you report back?

Passed today without issue. Stayed on the Stage II map, didn't seem to raise any red flags. I did do some extensive warm up before I pulled into the test station
Thanks for all your help!

do you guys think i'll pass with a catless APS tbe?
If it was a normal catless I wouldn't even bother asking you guys but for some reason i only had a check engine light for a week. then it disappeared on me. a month or so passed and I got an AP and now on stage 2.

Catless, no you will not pass at all.
I also was able to get past the snifer with Stage II with TXS and single high flow cat.
Warm it up good.... really good.
The other thing that we had to do was keep it idled up during the idle test. Instead of 750, keep it as closer to 900.. I think the limit is 900, so don't go over that or it starts over.
And after doing the high RPM test, SLOWLY let off the gas to start the idle test.
Good luck!
