so if bought my car in 11/05/05, do i have to get a smog check after 4 years or 6 years?

 

I thought it was 5 years

 

its 5 years for a new car and every other year for a used car

 

Starting January 1, 2005, owners of vehicles six or less model years old will pay an annual smog abatement fee for the first six registration years instead of being required to provide a biennial smog certification.

i don't get it

 

its 6 years until bi-enial smog testing,the fee is paid in your,registration
