yeah youre both right. This game is totally like skateboarding because it truly is way harder. and i love the fact that it isnt like THPS
but can you guys do every flip trick if you were given a list, do them in order, with no repeating or doing the wrong trick? awesome if you can, but when you see the tutorial arrows to start diagonal go up cross over come back down, it seems pretty much impossible...we're talking about analog sticks that are 1 cm, and the arrow's that determine the trick are divided by MILLIMETERS!
you cant tell me there have been times where you wanted to simply ollie up a ledge to get to another part of the level, and it throws a kick/heel flip! that just bugs me so much. along with the camera angle. (can you change it? lol before i whine about that?)
just seems like a lot of luck is involved
ive played it more, and learned that you CAN choose grinds....haha
it definitely does take planning. and the button mashing thing i said was more along the lines of, lets see what this stick does and hopefully i'll be amazed, which pretty much every trick DOES look amazing.
i dont know why they applied the gravity to the benches, you ollie up to one to grind the top back of a bench and it assumes you want to land against it lol, it looks so stupid. But the rest of the gravity works awesome for doing hips and transfers.
i think its just like skating in real life was for me, being good at it is getting harder...just like how you can get schooled in super mario by a 5 year old

anyone agree with me that the camera angle is seriously F'd? you do big stair gaps and it only shows the bottom of your wheels, you cant even enjoy the trick youre pulling because you cant see it.
seriously how do they release a game like this, were the testers on crack and not notice the camera? or the programmers were to lazy to add a few other static cameras?
major failure on the camera side

SKATE on PS3 is AWESOME! soooo much easier to control with the PS3 sticks, and them being right next to each other helps.
The camera angle still blows, like HARD. Cuts off feet sometimes, other times cuts off upper body.
i played it at Best Buy on the PS3...DIRT is also on the demo, with the same German Crossover, but an Italy stage with a Citroen instead of 360 demo where its an EVO on a different stage.
(this is important info to people who are demo ****** and go play at Best Buy for fun like me)
