yeah i want to try dirt for both syystems, but i like xbox's controler (throttle and brake levers) as opposed to ps3's failed attempt at making L2 R2 levers...your fingers slip off to easily.
yeah i love Colin McRae 2004/2005! i bought my xbox years ago JUST for those games...and Rallisport 2 for the crossover rallying...
I dont know, DIRT is cool, but the handling is off or something, i guess im just going too fast, but the break away point for sliding is really awkward...then again i've only played it for an hour.
i forgot to mention Thrasher Skate and Destroy has the best old school rap music ever!

ive been playing SKATE it for 3 hours now, im pretty disappointed.
dont get me wrong, the concept is awesome, but just like in GT4 id rather use my controller than gt4 wheel to put down fast times.
when you play S K A T E in skate, its pretty much impossible to nail a flip to grind twice in a row. the flips are a little easier, but when it comes to grinding, its pretty much a toss up. like any other skate game you can do a 3 trick combo 100 times in a row, but i doubt anyone could in skate.
ive seen cool videos on youtube, but i doubt the tricks were planned, i think they are just moving the sticks to see what will happen
every time you grind it ends up doing a feeble or smith 3/4 of the time.
is there a way to move the camera back? it cuts off your body a lot of the time, and quarterpipes mess up the camera.
but as far as acting like you know what your doing, its a button mashing game for skateboarding.

I hate to say it, but if you can't control the tricks you're doing then you're the problem. That game gives you more freedom to decide your tricks than any other skating game, it's just not easy for button mashers to realize that they need to slow it down or pre plan a line in order to get things to do what they want. This game is so much LESS a button masher than the THPS series that it's actually comically amusing that you said that....
I will say the game does have a longer learning curve than any game I've played in recent memory.
