I am not going, but I just wanted to mention that my former company sent me to Siggraph 2000 in New Orleans. Most of the time we were on Bourbon street drinking Hurricane Slushies.
Although, We did see Phil Tippet speak (Clash of the Titans, Robocop, Jason and the Argonauts). It was pretty cool seeing his stop motion stuff.
