Exhaust shop in san jose that'll work on catless car?

I recently installed my dp and exhaust but i realized theres a leak at the dp/exhaust connection. I don't really want to deal with it and dont know where to find the right gasket. I've been to a couple muffler shops before and as far as i know, some shops don't work on catless cars. Do you guys know of any shops that'll work on my car? basically just needs new bolts and a gasket. TIA

Keep asking around...I had a muffler shop in San Francisco chop off the muffler on a car which made it VERY VERY LOUD and they were cool with it and actually they thought it was pretty funny

shops around here don't really care how loud your car is but they care about things dealing with cats because they might get in trouble with the law or something.

discount muffler on 11th street in san francisco will work on almost anything. their work can be considered shady, but they will do it for a low price. if you cant find a place go there.

I had a similar problem and Michael's Mufflers in Santa Clara did some welding for me to seal up my exhaust. I was definitely catless.

hey preston, the sounds great but the leak takes away from it alot. I ended up not using the stock bolts because the heads were too big to have a tight fit.

i mean the bolts on the exhaust. The hks downpipe is working fine so far except for the leak because the stock gasket doesnt work and i had to use a temporary one. I bought the dp used so i didn't get the supplied gasket.

As long as it comes in with no cats i think its legal. They cannot have a car come in with cats and leave without. If your car has no cats when you take it there they are not obligated to do anything. Besides your just having them reapir an existing exhaust. There shouldn't be any issues.

hmm that makes sense. I'll try to take it to a shop that didn't want to weld a high flow cat for me before then.

bosal/spt catback. Went to undercar services in san jose this morning and he said he won't work on my car, i should take it elsewhere. "i'll be fined 2500 and i know you won't pay it."
