Should I trade my 07 STi for 08/09 STi
Just doing some thinking after I got my car serviced and walked around the lot. Fell in love with a VERY clean 08 Lightning Red Sti and the look of the Hatch is really growing on me.
Just would like to see if any other 06/07 owners ever thought about trading in their car for the new STi?

Try something different... save a little more and get a 135i. At least test drive something different before buying another STI. Your experience may vary...

the wide body on the 08 makes me feel funny in the pants... then the tail lights quickly make that feeling go away. i've seen smoked tails on an 08 though, and it makes them look a lot better

Subaru revamped the whole motor in the new '08s. Motor is very different, and it's making power a lot easier. I know there's more, but I have seen hollow cams and a redone oilpan, iirc. I think on an extremely conservative tune, they're making over 300awhp on a catback and tune.
I love the fact that there's more room, although the tail end looks have suffered from it. It's really up to you and your financial situation. If it's only a few k more, I'd do it.
