Should I take out my DP before bring my car to the DEALER?
I have a helix catless downpipe with CEL fix, and im throwing a check engine light but the problem is not related to the DP,its something about camshaft actuator high circuit, this is the second time im throwing this code. the first time i brought it in they said it was a loose connector of some sort. the first time i brought it in I took the DP off and pt the stock cats back in. should i put the cats back in again or should i just leave the DP in since it has nothing to do with the DP??
btw im bringing it either to Steven's Creek or Oakland Subaru..any suggestions on where i should go?
thanks
Jeff

Car Info: this required information?
yea zo3b answer the question. as for your question if all your doing is bringing it in for the cel then i dont see why you cant just take it there with a new Dp, its not going to affect there work, and they still will work on it. but i dunno i havent been to the dealer since i got exhaust.

take it to Subaru of Santa Cruz they will take good care of you.
If the problem *is* related to exhaust, you need to bring in your stock parts so they can install them since they legally can not put the catless back on if its emissions related work.
Just go in with it on to SSC or Carlson? I think is the other dealership that provides top notch customer service.

Are you still under warranty? If so then only if the problem that youre having is directly related to your dp should you then take it off. If not then leave it on the warranty will cover whatever it is. IF they give you any lip show em this: http://www.sema.org/main/semaorghome.aspx?ID=8124 Ive taken my 02 to my dealer in CT plenty of times with TBE on it along with everything else-***except for engine management modules-they can dispute that being a cause of any problem** Flashes dont count they cant even tell they have been done
