A shot in the dark
If anyone has any information of any kind about what happened this morning in Oakland to call the Oak PD. It was incredibly ****ed up and justice needs to be served. 510-238-3333 if you over hear anything or know information that can lead to an arrest.
they blocked off the offramp for 23rd ave when i drove by. I know what happened somewhat, and yeah, it sucks =[ RIP.

The messenger was getting back into the truck, both were not outside the truck when it started. If they shot him while they were driving, he wouldnt have continued following their demands. I cant give any details of what I know tho. He was one of the nicest guys I've driven lately. Last thing he said to me was "be safe out there" yesterday. I hate people.

Words cant describe how pissed off I am.
OAKLAND — The guard driving a hijacked Brinks truck when a robber shot and killed his partner was arrested early Saturday after admitting he planned the heist with an accomplice, police said.
The suspected accomplice, whose name was not released, was being questioned by police Saturday night.
The Brinks employee, Clifton N. Wherry Jr., 28, of Hayward told police it was not part of their scheme to kill the other guard, 24-year-old Anthony Quintero of Union City.
"He said they did it for the money and that no one was supposed to get hurt," homicide Sgt. Tony Jones said. "He said he didn't need (the money) but it would be nice to have it."
Wherry admitted his involvement in Friday's deadly robbery to Jones and Sgt. Bruce Brock early Saturday, police said.
Brock and his then-partner, Sgt. Mike Foster, were the homicide investigators who solved another deadly armored car robbery in 1997. In that case a guard for Armored Transport in Oakland shot and killed his partner and escaped with $300,000. He was convicted in 2001.
Police said Saturday that Wherry initially stood by his original account, saying he and Quintero had been hijacked by a masked gunman as they left a Fruitvale shopping center.
Police said the gunman entered the rear of the armored car where the money is kept with Quintero. Wherry then drove the truck to an industrial area at East 10th Street and 23rd Avenue. Quintero was shot to death and the bags of money were taken.
Police would not disclosehow much was taken, but it is believed to be tens of thousands of dollars.
Police were suspicious of the initial account Wherry gave to patrol officers shortly after the robbery. After letting him retell his story, Jones and Brock confronted him with inconsistencies and other evidence.
He then admitted his involvement and implicated his accomplice, police said. Jones said Wherry and the other man began plotting the robbery about two weeks ago. They did several practice runs — the latest being two days before the actual robbery — and determined the East 10th and 23rd Avenue site would be the best place to stop the truck and take the money.
The suspects knew Wherry would be questioned by police so they made a plan to meet later at a motel in Pinole to split the loot, thinking Wherry would be released.
Wherry was booked at the North County Jail on suspicion of murder and robbery and is being held without bail.
