short shifter install

would anyone like to help this newbie install a short shifter plus bushings anytime soon? Anyone?

It's really super simple. I did mine in like 15 min. just reading other people's threads on how to install it. Just make sure you have a mallet. Good luck.

where exactly are you located? Also, have you tried reading the install tutorials on scoobymods.com?

i'm in oakland. I've read the instructions on scoobymods and the shifter seems simple enough but I don't think i have the proper tools to get under the car to install the bushings.

I didn't need to jack the car up or anything to get to the bushing. You should be able to do it with the car on the ground. I think it's just a 12mm wrench and some elbow grease.

u dont have to lift the car off the ground to install the kartboy bushings?

Nope, I just squeezed under the driver side and swapped it out. Like I said, though, it took a bit of leverage. The scoobymods directions are dead on...

Or you could buy a $19.00 ramp. They are a good investment anyway. You could use it for your oil changes as well.
