Shopping for a digital camera

OK BAIC photophiles, I know you guys know your stuff so please help me out!
I'm in the market for a point-and-shoot digital camera, and I want one that has the following features: 1.) ultra compact, 2.) high quality photos (duh haha), 3.) has a good burst mode (I like to capture action), 4.) can record video w/ sound, 5.) PREFERABLY has a standard viewfinder and not an LCD screen only (not a must)

Any make/model suggestions and/or any local deals? Thank you much!

As a note, the last camera that I used was a Panasonic Lumix 7.2 megapixel. It was not bad except 1.) no audio on recorded video, 2.) kinda big n clunky, 3.) no viewfinder.

Now THAT is more my like what I'm talking about! Thanks!

Any opinions on the Sony Cybershots T2 and T70? How about the Nikon Coolpix S600, S550, and S52?

Oh, no, I'm not looking for an SLR. I guess compactness is the main feature I want, and if it has a good burst mode, all the better
Thanks though!

Canon SD1000 is a great point and shoot, I have it and have no complaints (however it lacks a viewfinder, one of your requests). Its my second Canon "point and shoot"....I upgraded from a 3 year old canon that worked fine, it was just clunky and dated. I would recommend Canon.

I have a power shot as a point-and-shot back up camera, and I love it. I've not been dissapointed by it.

Powershot SD850 IS

Works like a champ, has all the features I need (including optical view finder and image stabilization) and easy to use..... oh, and it's relatively inexpensive now too!

You also want to look at shutter delay. Nikon compacts have sucked in that department for a while. I wouldn't get anything over a 0.5 second delay.

... and after looking at the SD1100 it looks like they moved the power button back to the top which is much easier to operate than the SD850.

Sony is for Aesthetics. Always has been. Women love sony cause well, "It looks purrrty". Canon by far, has the best image processing for point and shoots (I know the SLR gurus would disagree to some extend, but I won't go there, and we all know the SLR is a totally different type of beast), like someone mentioned above, the Canon SD1100 is a great cam. We have sold a ton since its arrival (no i'm not soliciting, just giving you an idea of whats flying off our shelves.)

My 2 cents. Goooda ruck!

Thanks, Jansen. Looks like you're a Canon fan too, huh?

And thank you all as well. Looks like it's the Canon SD 1100 haha.

Oh, and UberMaus, which retailer do you work for? Any deals going on right now?
