i have a 03 Wrx, and i just recently had a catless uppipe installed by a friend. I dont think my friend "really" knew what he was doing, and may have messed up. Lately ive been noticing a different sound, leading me to assume an exhaust leak somewhere. my car is stock other than the uppipe, and i know he didnt replace my gaskets when he did the install. so i guess what im looking for is maybe a shop near vacaville, or fairfield area that might be able to take a look at my setup and maybe install the new gaskets, and fix the exhast leaks. if you know what they would charge, that would be helpful too. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

S&S Autoconcepts in Concord, it's worth the trip if you are having problems and can't find a reputable shop around that area.

Alot of people think they have leaks after installing an uppipe because of the additional noise, but in reality they don't...I'd double check for leaks just in case.

LIC is just accross the 37, so its probably worth checking them out. There's also DB Tuned in Roseville, FIA in San Francisco, and S&S in Concord. I think those are all the shops closest to you and I'm sure any of them will be able to help you out diagnosing the issue.

wow ok right on guys. well i dont really notice any difference in performance in the car, and i can hear the exhaust leak. its that annoying tappin sound when its just at idle. i did notice some other noises when accelerating that kinda disturbed me, but its nothing really serious. like you said, i think its just due to the uppipe being there. thanks again everyone.
